The end of Tumblr as we know it!

professorsideas:

“Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change.

Well, I knew this would come one day.  And of course the excuse is “the kids.” When in fact this is just those who are sex negiver exerting their power over all the rest of us.  I will decide what to do next in the next weeks.

The wording in the new guidelines is: Don’t upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples —this includes content that is so photorealistic that it could be mistaken for featuring real-life humans (nice try, though). Certain types of artistic, educational, newsworthy, or political content featuring nudity are fine. Don’t upload any content, including images, videos, GIFs, or illustrations, that depicts sex acts.

So, of course I have two choices, just close my account or remove all the “offending” content.    I will, beginning today, start to remove the offending content.  In my case, I will still have a good bit of content.  But, the question is will there by anyone left to read it?  Or should I just look for a new platform.

I’d love to hear what you plan to do.

i tried classical paintings with nudes and they are flagged as well. museums well are NSFW hell holes after all according to tumblr HAHAHA

i think tumblr will automatically remove adult content and i dont think will be terminating blogs but i can’t say for sure.

i don’t know of any other platform that is so easy to use, find and follow your interests, and chat with likeminded people
